- This kitesurfing and windsurfing area is just outside Auckland city. It is an excellent place for beginners, but those with experience will also find something to entertain them.
- Piha is a town on the west coast of Auckland Centennial Park, and is certainly worth making the trip through the park to get to it. Intermediate and expert surfers, kitesurfers, and windsurfers come out here to experience the big waves and strong winds.
- This is a curved piece of land that forms Onehunga Bay and catches a good north wind. It is a quiet place, one where you would be happy to spend all day and not see anybody else, and it is good for kitesurfing and windsurfing whether you are experienced or not.
- This creek eventually reaches Cockle Bay, and is a quiet, relaxing place just outside Auckland. It is suitable for intermediate or expert kite surfers and windsurfers.
- Located on the south west tip of Portugal in it's Algarve region is Sagres and to the west of that is Tonel. It is a very popular beach with expert surfers since it experiences huge waves from its position looking out into the Atlantic but the conditions here can be very dangerous. The season here is March to September but you can still surf offseason provided you suit up.
- The Rio Formosa lagoon is located in the Algarve in Portugal and is a collection of barrier islands that join to the sea with 6 inlets. The spot is also a designated natural park and is a stopping place for hundreds of different birds during the migration period. This spot is well suited to kitesurfers of all abilities and its shallow waters make it especially good for beginners.
- Quinto do Lago is one of the Algarve's largest golf destinations and a very exclusive resort situated about 20 minutes away from Faro airport. It also boasts some great surfing conditions which make it popular with all types of surfers of all abilities. The season is from March to October although off season is possible.
- Just south of Portimao you will find a small beach located between cliffs which is Praia Senhora da Rocha in Portugal's Algarve region. Alongside this there is a rocky beach where you will find the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha, connected to the sea by a tunnel. This beach offers some excellent kitesurfing and windsurfing for intermediate to expert surfers. The season is from March to October although off season is possible.

The beach is surrounded by housing developments and hotels, golf courses and restaurants and is a popular tourist destination. The beach is long and attracts kite surfers of all abilities. - Nestled between Salgados and Armacao de Pera, you will find the lovely natural beach of Praia Grande de Pera in Portugal's Algarve region. This spot is less crowded than other beaches on the Algarve and is also a sanctuary for protected birds. The spot is great for kitesurfing and windsurfing as well as sailing and is suitable for all abilities. The season is from March to October although off season is possible.
- Not a million miles from Albufeira lies a collection of beaches that fall within the Vilamoura area of the Algarve. Praia da Rocha Baixinha is also known as Shorty Beach as well as the Beach of Tomatoes and is located near to the Vilamoura Marina and is one of the most sought after beaches in the whole of the Algarve. It is a popular spot for for surfers of all types who have some experience. The season is mainly from March to October although offseason is possible.

- Martinhal Beach Resort is located in a wind swept corner of Portugal's Algarve region and is in fact the most south westerly position in Europe. It is popular with surfers of all types who have some experience and is a great spot for windsurfing particularly, although possibly not the best for kiting as it can be very gusty. The season is mainly from March to October although off season is possible here.

- Travel to Olhao port on Portugal's Algarve coast and you will be able to catch a ferry to Ilha de Farol which is the western end of Ilha de Calutra and has a small population which rises with summer visitors. From here you can catch a water taxi to the uninhabited Ilha Deserta. The spot is popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers of all abilities and the season is primarily from May to September although off season is possible.

Llha de Farol is the western end of Ilha de Calutra and has a small population which rises with summer visitors. The spot is popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers of all abilities and the season is primarily from May to September although off season is possible.

- This is suitable for surfers, kitesurfers and windsurfers of all abilities. It takes advantage of the conditions created as the river meets the ocean, and is a good consistent spot that should have something for everybody.
