Beach
-
The beach is large and sandy and obstacle free. It can get quite busy during the height of the season and restrictions may be in place. There is plenty of room to lay out all of your gear.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The thermal winds blow predominantly from the North, North West and North Northwest and the best directions here are North, North East and North Northeast. The winds start to blow very early and are at their best in the morning leading up to midday. In the afternoons they either die down or stabilize. First thing in the mornings the winds are slightly sideoffshore and quite often gusty. About 11 am it changes to sideonshore and becomes more stable. The best direction is sideonshore north. Due to its location, whenever a northerly wind is forecast, Hurghada will receive much stronger winds than elsewhere. The water is crystal clear and flat to choppy. The color of the water is just amazing but you do need to watch out for coral in the water.

Facilities
-
This spot is pretty geared up towards surfing and there is a school as well as a rental shop. You can get rooms here quite easily too. There are shower and toilet facilities on the beach and a good selection of bars where you can buy a drink and a bite to eat. Should you get into difficulties there is also a rescue boat on hand to come and pick you up. The nightlife is pretty good at Hurghada and it is well known for its beach parties which last through to the early hours.

Safety
-
This is a pretty safe spot but watch out for swimmers in the water as well as underwater coral reefs.
