This spot is popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers, though it is probably better for the latter, and you do need to be intermediate or expert level to be able to handle it properly.

This is a nice sandy beach, and it is a good size although during the summer months a lot of visitors will come here and you will find yourself a bit more limited for space.  The climate here can be quite good, with the water reaching 25° C or more during the summer and hovering around the high teens in spring and autumn.

This is a spot that works just about all year round. The best winds come from the north-east, east or south-east, and they tend to pick up during the day with the strongest winds, around 20 to 25 knots, appearing in the late afternoon. The water surface tends to be flat or choppy most of the time, depending on the wind strength, and if the wind happens to be blowing onshore you will get some small waves up to about 1 m high.

The beach and immediate area is almost completely undeveloped, and the only facilities around are at the nearby campsite. The town of Kiten is only a few minutes’ drive away, and as that is a fast-growing and popular tourist resort it's not a bad place to spend a few days.

There aren't really any hazards here, just watch out for holidaymakers in July and August as they are all over the beach and in the water.
