General Information

Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — December 31

This is suitable for all watersports enthusiasts, but due to the limitations of the beach only expert kitesurfers should use it.

Beach

There isn’t very much beach here at all. In fact, the only time you will see anything like a beach is at low tide when a narrow strip of sand appears, but it’s hard packed and doesn’t have any hazards in it.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot

Winds are consistent all year round.  They come mainly from the east, south or southwest but the best directions are from the north, southwest, west or northwest, when you’ll get 25+ knots consistently.  Whatever the direction you’ll get a decent speed, as the lowest will be 15-20 knots, it’s just the directions that aren’t too favourable.  Once on the water, it tends to offer chop or small waves although when conditions are right it can also give waves up to 3m high that are good for surfing.

Facilities

There is a decent sized parking lot only a couple of minutes walk from the shore, and there is usually plenty of room.  The town is right by the beach and offers accommodation as well as a few places to eat and drink.

Safety

There are trees around the shoreline that kitesurfers need to be aware of and avoid, but everyone else won’t find very much that can be considered a hazard here as long they keep an eye out for swimmers.
