General Information

Level:0-10 Season:June 1 — November 30

This is a fun spot for all surfers and provides decent conditions most of the year, though it is probably best over fall and early winter.

Beach

You can’t miss this one. It is part of a strip of beach that is on a long, thin strip of land to the north of Barnegat Bay. Head up route 35, and park up at the lot near the Falls Road. It is public access and less than 5 minutes walk from the parking lot.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot

The wind here only comes out of the west, but the swell works when it is coming up from the north, northeast, southeast or west. The waves will start working at around 1m or a little less, and will hold up to about 2.5m. Best tide position is at mid tide, and it only works on a rising tide. It is a standard beach break, breaking both left and right, and is generally a fun wave to play with as it is relatively fast and even hollow sometimes. Wave length is usually short at 30 – 50m, but a good day will give a length in the region of 250m. It is deserted during the week, but crowded on summer weekends. Come here in fall or winter and you’ll get the best waves and the most space.

Facilities

Brick has a few hotels and motels if you want to stay over, and some restaurants to choose from. If you want much more you’ll need to head for one of the bigger towns on the mainland.

Safety

There are some currents here that you should watch out for, but they shouldn’t cause any real difficulty.
