General Information
Level:1-10 Season:April 1 — October 1 -
Just a few kilometres outside Burgas, this is an easy spot to get to and offers some good conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. It's a fairly predictable and consistent kind of place, and so it suits all ability levels.
-
Beach
-
The beach is big and sandy, and is free of rocks and shells. You don't really get any crowds at this point, so you have plenty of choice when it comes to launching and landing spots. The climate here is good, even in winter the water will only fall to about 15° C and by summer it will be back up to 27 to 29° C.
-
Wind&Waves
-
This spot relies on thermal winds, and the best time to come is between March and October. The wind is strongest and most consistent in the early afternoon, and will blow through till around seven or eight PM, with the speed ranging from 10 knots to about 25 knots. The direction is mostly onshore or sideshore. The water is clean and conditions are independent of the tide. The surface conditions are usually choppy or small waves, but with strong easterly winds you can get waves up to about 3 m high.

Facilities

There are lots of facilities here. Parking is possible right by the beach, and there is plenty of accommodation available in the town. Showers and toilets are open to the public, and there is a school here and a shop too. Food is also available at several nearby outlets.

Safety
-
There is a large mole nearby, but as long as you can steer away from it it shouldn't present any problems. Rescue crews are around if you do get into difficulty.
