Buzo is located in southern Spain in the Cadiz region. It is a popular tourist area with its large sandy beaches and close proximity to Cadiz itself. The area is renown for sailing and it also popular with surfers of all types and abilities. There is no season here with winter surfing being possible if you wear a thick wetsuit.

The beach is very large, long and sandy and whilst there is plenty of room for everyone most of the time, things change dramatically during the summer months when the beach is jam packed with holiday makers. You can get here by driving towards Vistahermosa, following the signs for Buzo, and you will see the beach quite easily and be able to park nearby.

The winds are mainly westerlies from March through to September and then they switch to northerlies from October through to February. March to April have the best winds and there is constant wind throughout the year with an average of 9 knots. NNW and SSE are sideshore. The water is clean and choppy with small waves of up to 1 meter. The summers are warm here and the water is a pleasant 24 degrees with an air temperature of around 30 degrees or higher at the peak of summer. The spot is not affected by the tides.

There is parking nearby and you can get accommodation. For shops, bars and restaurants you need to drive into nearby Vistahermosa or El Puerto de St. Maria where you will also find limited nightlife
