This is a place for intermediate and better kite surfers and windsurfers, as they need to be able to handle stronger winds. If you like to be somewhere where you can just play on your own then this is a good place to think about.

Beach

The beach is only small but it is perfect and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Made up of soft white sand, it gets a few tourists but nothing that you could call a crowd. Temperatures here will be between 25° C and 30° C all year round, and with the water not much below that this isn't a place where you are ever going to need a wetsuit.

Wind&Waves

The wind blows all year round and is best when coming from the north-east or the east. For most of the year you will get consistent winds up to about 25 knots, maybe more on a good day, but during the summer months it will be lighter and will not pick up until later in the afternoon. The water is shallow all around here and is either flat or choppy depending on the direction and strength of the wind.

Facilities

There are some decent facilities here that mean you don't have to bring everything you need with you or head back down into Georgetown. There are showers and public toilets by the beach, and places where you can buy food and drink after a hard day on the water. Parking is easy enough, just pull off the main road and park on the dunes by the side of it.

Watch out for the trees by the beach if you are launching a kite, but once you are on the water there is nothing to worry about.
