General Information
Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
This place has it all, and whether you are into surfing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing or kitesurfing the conditions will suit. Simply put, if you’re in the area you’d be stupid to miss out on a trip here, and lack of experience is no barrier either as it’s a big, safe area.
-
Beach
-
The beach is soft white sand in some places and hard packed sand in others, but either way it’s clean and good to be on. The area has hot, dry summers and mild winters, so nobody ever wears much more than a thin wetsuit even in winter.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The wind here is useable all year round, so you’ll see people here all the time, though surfers tend to come in the summer. Good wind directions are from the northeast, southeast, south or southwest, and can be anything between 10 and 25 knots. The water is clean and depending on your location and timing can be flat, choppy or with small waves – there are lots of sandbars and an inlet runs through the area, and if you catch it on an incoming tide you’ll get decent surfing conditions. On the other hand, if you go on the outgoing tide you’ll find it smooth and quick, allowing anyone with a sail to pick up a lot of speed.
