General Information

Level:3-10 Season:January 1 — December 31

Catamaran sailors use this spot quite frequently, as do windsurfers and kite surfers. It isn't really a beginners spot because of the traffic but those who have the experience will enjoy this gorgeous little bay on the east coast of the island.

Beach

The beach here is really nice, all white sand and it is quite a good size, but it's a popular spot to visit and you'll often find quite a few bystanders round here, not to mention the sun chairs and umbrellas that they also bring.  Temperature wise it is fairly warm here all year round and the only time you might want to consider a wetsuit is the odd day in the middle of winter when the air temperature will fall to around 25° C.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot

You get a decent wind here almost all year round, and it blows mainly from the north-east or the east. Typical windspeed will be 20 to 25 knots though it can exceed that on some days, and in the middle of summer you'll find that the winds are lighter but will still give a useful 15 knots or so. The water here is usually flat or choppy, but if the wind is stronger than normal you'll find that there are also small waves.  Tide makes no difference here and the water is crystal clear and very clean.

Facilities

There are plenty of decent facilities here. Lifeguards patrol the beach, there are showers and toilets available to the public, places to buy food and even accommodation available close by.

Safety

Just watch out for the swimmers and other traffic on the water.
