Beach

Sand Gradual descent

The beach here is long and sandy with lots of space, but it is fairly narrow. There is a rocky harbor mole to the back of the beach that separates the lagoon from the sea. To get here you simply follow the signs for the Espignon and cross the bridge to Bellavista, turn south and follow it almost to it's end. Here you will find the beach.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot Regular wind

The wind direction here can be pretty changeable most of the time. The best directions for surfing here are south west and north east breezes. It can also get fairly gusty here and it is not uncommon for winds to exceed 30 knots. In the summer months the winds are much lighter. Water conditions are flat to choppy with some small waves, but the lagoon side always remains fairly flat whatever the conditions. The water temperature remains somewhere between 18-26 degrees so a shorty or shorts is needed surfing the spring and summer. In the winter you may need a long suit.

Facilities

Parking

There is parking here, but less that 10 minutes walk and you are right in the center of Huelva.

Safety

Shipping traffic

It is fairly safe here, but just keep an eye out for passing ship and boats on the lagoon side. Also watch out for swimmers and bathers in the water during the summer months.
