General Information
Level:6-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
The beach here sits on the spot where the Tagliamento river meets the Adriatic sea. Situated on the north eastern Italian cost lying between the cities of Trieste to the east and Venezia to the west is Foci Del Tagliamento. It is a good spot for kite surfers, wind surfers and surfers of intermediate and expert ability. It is not advisable for beginners to practice here because conditions can get very choppy indeed.

Beach
-
The beach is part of the campsite, therefore in the summer, it gets packed. Although there are no restrictions, it may pay you to avoid June, July and August.. The best times to surf are from April to May and September and October when you will have much more freedom and space. To get here you will need to follow the signs for Ligano Rivera, then head towards the Camping Pino-Mare Ristorante where you can park. From here it is approximately 200 metres walk to the beach.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The predominant wind direction is north east and this direction works really well here. During the summer months the thermal winds kick in to produce around 10-14 knots daily. The water quality is clean and conditions are flat to choppy, with small to medium sized waves of up to 3 meters in height. The river side has flat water with a shallow area and the sea side can be very choppy. The water temperature falls somewhere between 12-24 degrees depending upon the time of the year, so you might need to suit up accordingly.

Facilities
-
There is a campsite close by that offers accommodation, shower and toilet facilities. There is also a camp shop where you can buy the basics. The nearest towns of Lignano and Sabbiadoro have a good selection of bars, restaurants and some decent nightlife.

Safety
-
Be aware of the harbour mole. The water does also tend to have a pretty strong undercurrent that you will need to keep an eye on.
