General Information

Level:0-10 Season:December 1 — March 31

This is just one of a number of spots in this huge, sheltered Bay that is virtually cut off from the ocean to the south and therefore has very consistent conditions that are suitable for kite surfers and windsurfers of all abilities.

Beach

The beach is sandy and clean, quite long although not very wide. It can get busy on summer, mostly because it's an urban park and both locals and tourists will head down here. Temperatures are standard for the area, with the water reaching a high of about 20° C in summer, and a low of around 13° C in winter.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot

The season here runs from December through to March, when you get a regular sea breeze coming through from the south-west almost every afternoon.  The speed isn't too much to handle, and will usually be between 15 and 20 knots. The water is shallow and clear, and the fact that this bay is practically a lagoon means that tide has no effect at all here. The surface is usually flat, but can get choppy in stronger winds.

Facilities

This side has not too many facilities, or you can expect to find are public toilets, and a small parking lot just a minutes walk from the beach.  Having said that, you are so close to the town that everything else you need such as shops, accommodation, food and nightlife is within easy reach.

Safety

There aren't any hazards here, it's just an enjoyable and safe place to play.
