General Information

Level:0-10 Season:November 1 — August 31

This spot is on an island known as Little Bonaire, off the central western portion of the main island. It is a good spot for both kite surfing and windsurfing, and it is suitable for all abilities from beginners upwards as conditions are consistent and easy to handle.

Beach

The beach is sandy and small, but despite the size it never gets busy and you are fairly lightly to be out here on your own. The area behind the beach can be used for setting up rigging if required. You can expect the water and the air temperatures to be at least 28° C all year round, and while no wetsuit is required sun protection is recommended.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot

The best time to come here is between November and August, when the winds are the most consistent, although even outside these times you can still find good days – it just means the winds will be a little bit lighter.  The winds are best when they blow from the north-east, although this small island does work with the wind from any direction, and the speed is will average round about 15 knots. The water is crystal clear, and tide has no effect on conditions. The state of the surface will depend on the strength of the wind, but the light wind resulting in flat water and the strong wind leading to some light chop.

Facilities

You can only get here by boat, but you should find that is easy enough to arrange.  Bonaire itself has a good sized airport and decent connections, and there is plenty of choice when it comes to places to stay and things to do when you aren't out on the water.

Safety

There aren't really any hazards here, it's just a place where you should chill out and enjoy yourself.
