Beach

The beach is only small, consisting of sand with a grassy rigging area. Despite the size, access to the water is easy and safe, and it’s rare that it gets crowded. Shorts are all that are required here as water temperatures sit in the high twenties all year round.

Wind&Waves
-
The winds here average a speed of about 15 knots, slightly less than many other spots because of the shelter of the bay. A mixture of frontal and trade winds, they come from the northeast or east and do so consistently between November and July. The water is clean and clear, and the surface is flat over a huge area – the bay is about 2 miles long.

Accommodation is close by, and even if you don’t need to stay here there are toilets, showers and places to buy food and drink. There is a parking lot less than 5 minutes walk from the beach too.
-
Safety
-
The left side of the beach is reserved for swimming and windsurfing, the right for kitesurfing. The only possible hazard is the reef which is fairly shallow, but you’d have to go out quite a way before you got close to it.
