General Information
Level:0-10 Season:May 1 — September 30 -
This is a spot that takes you right out onto the Pacific Ocean, with its deep blue waters and fantastic wildlife. As far as surfing is concerned, it is suitable for all and has a very mellow atmosphere.
-
Beach
-
Starting at the mouth of the Quillayute River and working south, the beach is a mixture of small stones and cobbles. It has been kept pristine as the home of the descendants of the Quileute Indians, and should be respected as such.

Wind&Waves
-
The best winds at this spot come out of the southeast or east, while the swell works best when pushing against the wind and coming from the northwest, west or southwest. It works at all tide positions and on both rising and falling tides, so you don’t need to be too precise about when you come out here. The swell will start at less than 1m, and gently build to about 2m or possibly a little bit more on a good day. It breaks both right and left on a reef, and the waves don’t have any really outstanding features – the best way to describe them is probably just as a fun wave. Length is short, you won’t be getting any epic rides here as the most you’ll see is 50m, even on a good day.

Facilities
-
There are campsites and a fair amount of accommodation around in La Push itself, as well as places to eat and drink. The beach has been left unspoiled though, so you won’t find much here.
-
Safety
-
The rocks and cobbles on the beach make walking out difficult, take not to twist an ankle. Shark sightings are also fairly common round here.
