General Information
Level:4-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
Even by Hawaiian standards, this area has some spectacular scenery with an excellent view of the Waianae Range as you look towards the beach from the waves. For surfing, it is one of the best lefts on the west coast of Oahu and should only be surfed by those with a lot of experience.

Beach
-
The Point is really just a rocky outcrop, with a thin sliver of sand next to the shore. It is a bit of a secret surfing spot for locals, although you'll really see any of them out during the week and just a handful at weekend. It's a friendly kind of place though, and you won't get any hassle as long as you behave.

Wind&Waves
-
The swell here starts working at 1 m to 1.5 m and will hold up to 5 m or more. It works at all tide positions and on both rising and falling tides, and is best when the wind is from the east or the north-east and the swell is coming from the north-west, west, south-west, or south-east. It is a point break, only to the left, and as well as being big the waves are powerful and hollow. Length can be good here, approaching 300 m on a good day, but more usually you can expect 100 m to 150 m.
-
Facilities
-
The point itself doesn't have any facilities, other than a few scrubby trees and a lot of rocks anyway. Parking is wherever you think is suitable, and you'll then either have to walk to the beach and paddle the 10 minutes to the spot or just walk to the end of the point and jump of the rocks.
-
Safety
-
Currents can be strong here especially when the waves are big, and you need to be careful of the rocks to. Apart from that keep one eye out for sharks.
