General Information
Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
Situated between San Pedro Del Pinatar and La Manga lies the lake spot at Lo Pagan. It is a popular spot for kite surfers and wind surfers of all levels and abilities. There is no particular season here and it is used all year round, although it does get a little busy during the summer months. There is parking (although limited spaces) down on the damn, this leads directly onto the beach. If you can catch a northerly wind, then behind the damn it can be perfectly flat, so you can pick up quite a bit of speed.

Beach
-
The beach here is small to medium in size, although there is more than enough space to launch and land a kite. It is made up of soft white sand with no hazards. To find it you need to drive west from Murcia until you come to San Pedro Del Pinatar, follow the lake northwards until you see the spot at Lo Pagan.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The wind tends to come at you from an east north easterly direction for the majority of the year, however January tends to bring with it a northerly breeze, which can create those flat conditions behind the damn. The wind seed hovers around 8-9 knots and is pretty consistent, but it can get gusty during the winter months and it is not uncommon for wind speeds to reach over 25 knots. The water is flat to choppy and there are hardly any waves here. The water temperature drops to no less than 18 degrees even during the winter, so these are good conditions for surfers who don't like to feel the cold.
-
Facilities
-
There is a limited amount of parking on the damn and there are toilet facilities and a small shop close by. If you are looking for bars, restaurants and perhaps a little night life, then you should head into Cartagena or La Manga.
-
Safety
-
There really is nothing too much to worry about here, except that in the summertime you might need to keep an eye out for other kite and wind surfers.
