Beach
-
There is a small sandy beach with a grass rigging area. The summer months can get busy with holidaymakers so it is best to arrive early in the morning or much later in the day. You can get here by driving towards the harbor where you will find the beach just next to it, to the north.

Wind&Waves
-
The winds are mainly frontal westerlies with depressions and are best during fall and spring. The area works best with south west winds but because Ludwigsburg is located on a point, jutting out into the Danische Wiek, a lot of directions work including west, south west, south and south east which is quite gusty. Further north north sideshore and the beach curves even to NE sideshore. The water is clean with a large shallow area that is ideal for beginners and practicing. The water is flat to choppy depending on the wind strength and direction. Summers are quite nice here and the water temperature can be as high as 22 degrees, dropping to about 15 degrees in fall and spring, with air temperature of up to 30 degrees in the summer, dropping to about 15 degrees in fall and spring. The winter months are very cold.
