The best windsurfing happens on days when the weather is more stormy than usual, although unlike the protected Lake Lopez, these open waters have been known to be a little gusty. Rumor has it that windsurfers have the most luck by launching on the east side of the lake. Other than windsurfing, these conditions make for good kite surfing as well as catamaran sailing. The season begins in May and ends in August.
