General Information
Level:5-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
Pobla De Farnells is a stretch of coast that lies just north of the vibrant city of Valencia. It is a popular spot with kite surfers and wind surfers of intermediate and expert abilities. It is not advisable for beginners to practice here because of the wave breakers placed all along this stretch of coast. Also there are rocky moles every 300 meters or so. It does get very busy with tourists during the height of the season (June, July and August) and because of this time and zone restrictions may apply. There is no defined season, but it might be best to surf between October to April to avoid the crowds.

Beach
-
The beach here is wide and sandy, but behind the beach there is a large grassy area. It may be possible to unpack your gear here. There are rocky moles to watch out for also. To find it you need to drive northbound out of Valencia and and follow the signs to the beach.

Wind&Waves
-
The wind here is a bit of a mixed bag. It predominantly comes at you from the east but it can also be from a westerly and south easterly direction dependent upon the time of year. The wind speed hovers around 6-7 knots but gets stronger during the winter. The water quality here is crystal clear and is choppy most of the time however when the wind is slightly stronger (during the winter) you can pick up small waves of around 1 meter in height. The water temperature rarely drops below 16 degrees even in the winter, so you can get away with a normal wetsuit.
