Wind&Waves

Flat water spot Regular wind

The main wind direction is northeast and this is also the direction that works best here. During the summer, particularly, July and August, the northeast winds bring the thermals in. They start at around noon most days and continue to around 6pm. During the winter the wind is less frequent but much more gusty. The water quality is clean and conditions are choppy with small waves most of the time. The water temperature remains warm even during the winter (20 degrees) so you can get away with a summer suit (2-3 mm) During the rest of the year shorts or a shorty will suffice.

Facilities

Parking WC Shower

The infrastructure here is pretty good. Here you will find a surf school and shop that also rents out equipment. Along with this there are shower and toilet facilities as well as eating establishments and ample parking. The nearest town is Gammarth, which is a popular tourist resort, this is only a 10 minute taxi ride away. Here you will find ample bars, restaurants and a handful of nightclubs if you feel like partying the night away.

Safety
