Wind&Waves

Wave spot Regular wind

The winds are present nearly all the time at this stretch of coastline and in the summer the north wind blows mostly from the afternoon through to the evening. The predominant wind direction in the summer is N/NW and this is the best direction for riding all year round. The wind speed during the summer for the NW wind is around 18-20 knots. The winds are thermal and the winter months quite often see southerly winds. The water quality is clean and you get some nice right point wave breaks but you do need to keep a watch out for the rocks.

Facilities

Parking

Apart from parking there is very little here. Mafra or Ericeira are the best towns to head into for supplies and a good choice of bars and restaurants. The nighlife is great during the summer in Ericeira with bars opening late and closing early in the morning!

Safety

Be very careful of the rocks. This is a very dangerous spot if you don't know what you are doing.
