General Information
Level:4-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
Cullera has a lovely stretch of sand which extends southwards from its lighthouse to the mouth of the Rio Jucar which is where this beach is situated on Spain's east coast. It is a good spot for surfers of all types with at least intermediate experience and there are several surf schools in the area.

Beach
-
There is a medium sized sandy beach with plenty of room most of the time. In fact, come on a weekday and it will quite likely be empty. The summer months see a few more tourists but you can normally get a spot if you arrive early. You can get here by driving south of Cullera. The beach is just south of the RioJucar and its mole.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The winds here are predominantly easterlies with the best direction being east to north east. Fall to spring are the best months to surf as the winds are far lighter in the summer months. The water is crystal clear and choppy with southerly winds. You can get some really great waves wrapping around the mole where the river Jucar flows into the sea when the wind is east or north east which is great news for surfers. The water temperature is pleasant during the summer months and you can get by with just a pair of shorts. Fall and spring, you'll need a shorty or long legs and come the winter, you will have to be fully suited.

Facilities
-
There is not an awful lot here at this beach, just the odd chiringuito at which to grab a drink and some tapas. For supplies you will need to drive the short distance into Cullera. If it's nightlife that you are after, then a drive into Valencia will be worth your while.

Safety
-
There are no safety issues at this spot but watch out for swimmers in the summer months.
