General Information

Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — December 31

This relaxing and picturesque spot is right up in the north-east of the island and just in front of the village it takes its name from.  It is suitable for kite surfers and windsurfers of all experience levels, including beginners.

Beach

The beach is the usual powdery white sand typical of this area, and the size changes depending on the state of the tide – it can get quite small at high tide, but otherwise there is plenty of room, especially as there is no such thing as a crowd here.

Wind&Waves

Flat water spot

The wind blows all year round and comes mainly from the north-east or the east, which also happen to be the best directions.  Most of the year the speed will be between 15 and 25 knots, occasionally reaching 30, although in summer the winds will be lighter and will only reach a maximum of about 15 knots. The water is shallow for a long way out and the conditions will be either flat or choppy, depending on how strong the wind is blowing.

Facilities

The road runs almost onto the beach itself, and you should be able to park easily enough. There aren't any facilities here, and the village of Rolleville next-door  is only small though it does have a convenience store. If you want anywhere to stay or a bar etc then drive south for about 20 minutes to get to Georgetown.

Safety

There shouldn't be any issues at all here, it's a very safe place to be out and even outright beginners will struggle to find something to worry about.
