Wind&Waves
-
The main wind direction here is a thermal sideonshore west or north west, known locally as Poliente. Levant winds are offshore. The average wind speed is around 9 knots with April and May having the best winds. The water is simply crystal, it doesn't get much better than this, and close to the River's Mouth is always flat. Outside of the bay you can get some nice waves, especially on a south west wind, but keep an eye out for boat traffic. There are some sandbars with shallow and flat water. Spring, Summer and Autumn are nice and warm here and no wetsuit is needed. However, a thick wetsuit is needed in the winter.
