General Information
Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
This is a kiting and windsurfing spot that suits all ability levels, providing consistent winds and, depending on the time you come here, something to suit all interests.
-
Beach
-
The beach is sandy and it’s big, so there is loads of room to play without worrying about crowding others. There are no hazards on it, so it’s just you, sand, and water.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The best months for wind here are from May to June, though it’s actually useable all year round and the beach is empty during winter and spring if you prefer a bit more space. The best wind directions are from the northeast or southwest, and the average speed will be 10-15 knots although it can get to 20knots on some good days. The water conditions depend on the wind, it can be flat, choppy, or have small – medium waves reaching up to about 2m in height. It’s best at the low tide position and you should catch it when the tide is falling. Learner kiters will find it easier at low tide too, as there’s no need to stay upwind to keep clear of the jetty as there is at high tide.

Facilities
-
This place isn’t as well developed as it might be, given how popular it is. There is parking nearby and places to buy food and drink, but no public facilities or shops.
-
Safety
-
There are restricted zones you must adhere too, and you’ll need to be mindful of people on the beach during the summer tourist season. You need to keep away from the jetty, but that’s all, so just remember the rules and enjoy your time here.
