General Information
Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — August 1 -
Right on the west coast of the island this little beach is sandwiched between the bulk of the island and the amusingly named Lubbers Quarters Cay opposite it, and because of this conditions are predictable and easy to manage. It is a pure kitesurfing beach that will suit everybody from beginners upwards.

Beach
-
This is a small sandy beach, not the most picturesque one in the Bahamas but just as functional all the same. It is never crowded, and enjoys a relatively sheltered location on the west coast of the island.
-
Wind&Waves
-
Conditions are best here when the wind is blowing from the south, south-west, west or north-west. If you come here between January and August you will miss the hurricane season and get the most consistent winds, which will be anywhere between 10 and 20 knots. The water is shallow and it's always flat regardless of the wind conditions because of the shelter given by the land on either side of it.
-
Facilities
-
Access to the island is only by boat from one of the bigger islands, but that isn't difficult to arrange. There are no facilities on the beach, but heading up to the north of the island on a rented golf cart will take you into Hope Town. Here you'll find a variety of houses to rent for your stay and the odd hotel and inn too.
-
Safety
-
There are some trees on the beach that you need to steer clear of when you are launching your kite, but that is the only hazard you'll find round here.
