General Information
Level:0-10 Season:April 1 — November 1 -
Located on the east side of Italy's Adriatic coastline lies the beach at Termoli located in the region of Campobasso. It attracts kite and windsurfers of all abilities with a season running from April to November although off season is possible.
-
Beach
-
Here you will find a long wide sandy beach that is both obstacle and hazard free. It gets very busy with tourists during the summer months of June, July and August and consequently it is preferable to surf outside of these months. You can get here by heading to Termoli where the beach is south of the harbor.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The winds are predominantly from the north or north west with the best direction for this spot being north. The water quality is crystal clear and is flat to choppy with small waves. With north west winds the water gets 1-3 meter high irregular winds. North winds get larger waves but again these are very irregular. The summers are warm as is the water and you can get by with just a pair of shorts or shorty. Come the winter months and you need to suit up accordingly. With north west winds, go about 3 km north of the castle,to a place called Kite Beach.

Facilities
-
There are a few beachside bars where you can grab a bite to eat and a drink. The town of Termoli has a few shops, bars and restaurants but you will find more choice in the larger town of nearby Pescara. The nightlife is pretty good there in the summer as well.
-
Safety
-
This is a reasonably safe spot but be aware of swimmers in the water and tourists on the beach in the busier summer months.
