General Information
Level:0-10 Season:May 1 — September 30 -
Another spot in the state park, this is an average quality wave and is suitable for all levels of experience. It is quiet and offers a laid back atmosphere, with plenty of room – you won’t find yourself being crowded out here.
-
Beach
-
The beach is sand, surrounded by plenty of dunes of varying size. Drive north from Rehoboth to find the spot, it’s to the north of Herring Point / Naval Jetty – follow Dune Road, then take Post Lane and park up where you can. The beach is 5 minutes walk across the dunes, but you’ll need to wander a bit to work your way through them.
-
Wind&Waves
-
The swell here doesn’t look to be doing much at first, but it starts working at less than 1m and then holds up to a surprising 4m or more. It works on both rising and falling tides, and is a beach break to the left and right. There isn’t much power in the waves, but you’ll get a decent wave length most of the time – a normal day will go up to 150m long, and a good day can get towards 300m. It is a quiet spot all the time, with only a few surfers here at any time.

Facilities
-
There is a bath house with showers to the north, and anyone can camp within the park. For a wider choice of facilities, the nearby town of Lewes is a popular destination for tourists and so is Rehoboth just to the south. Rehoboth has a more modern buzz to it, while Lewes offers a more traditional kind of experience.

Safety
