General Information
Level:0-10 Season:January 1 — December 31 -
This is only about a kilometre south of Agnes Main, but the conditions are a lot different. It is suitable only for experienced surfers, and offers a rare chance to ride some big waves on this part of the coast.
-
Beach
-
The beach is only small, and entrance to it is by a long track from the top of the cliffs – if you have any trouble finding it you'll need to ask a local for directions. Most people don't make the effort to get down here, and most of the time you'll find yourself surfing alone unless it happens to be a holiday or a good weekend. Water temperatures average the low 20s in winter, and the mid to high 20s in summer.

Wind&Waves
-
For this place to work you need both the wind and the swell to be coming from the south-east, but it does work on both rising and falling tides and at all tide positions so timing isn't too important here. The swell will start working at 1.5 to 2 m and hold up to over 4 m on the best days. It is a point break, breaking only on the right, and the waves are hollow and fast which means there are a lot of fun for those with experience to manage them. Length is about the best around, and you can expect to hundred to 300 m on a normal day and 300 to 500 m on the good days.

Facilities
-
There is a car park at the top of the cliffs, but there are no other facilities. The town of Agnes water is only a kilometre to the north.
-
Safety
-
There are some submerged rocks that you will need to watch out for, and of course sharks are all on this coast and you should take heed of any warnings or sightings.
