General Information
Level:5-10 Season:April 1 — October 1 -
Not a million million miles away from the tourist resort of Nuweiba in the eastern part of the Sinai Peninsula on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba lies Towte Beach which is a great spot for intermediate to experienced windsurfers and kitesurfers. Surfing is possible all year round although April to October is the main season.

Beach
-
The beach is medium sized with gorgeous white sand and is safe for launching. There are some shells and coral scattered around but otherwise there is plenty of space to launch and land here. It is pretty remote here with access only by a 4x4 taxi from either the Sinai border in Israel or from Sharm El Sheik in South Sinai.

Wind&Waves
-
Most days are windy here with thermal winds blowing from a variety of northerly directions which all work well here. The wind is sideonshore with 15-20 knots during the summer, starting around 9.30 am. The water is a lovely turquoise blue, crystal clear and flat. It is shallow for the first 200 meters then the edge of the reef drops to 30 meters. There is coral in the water so wear shoes, although the water depth is 1-1.5 meters for the first 200 meters which is enough to miss the coral on landings. There are no waves here. In the summer the air temperature is 50 degrees and the water is 26 which feels cold, so it's a good idea to have a shorty with you.

Facilities
-
There is parking here with just a short walk to the beach. In addition there are shower and toilet facilities as well as a few places to buy some food. Nightlife is zero. The nearest town is Nuweiba where you will find accommodation as well as bars, restaurants and shops.

Safety
-
This spot is only suited to surfers who don't need any assistance in the water and you do need to be very careful of coral and urchins in the water.
