This spot is found in a little bay just the north-west of Kahului, and is popular with kite surfers of windsurfers who are intermediate level and better. It's close to all the major facilities including the airport, but it still feels like you are out in a country location.

Beach

The beach here is very small and sandy but it is at least clear of hazards such as trees and rocks. It is warm here all year round with even the water being about 25C so it's a comfortable place whenever you choose to come.

Wind&Waves

The main direction for the wind here is from the east, and that also happens to be the best direction. From May to October you will find the best conditions, when the wind starts up at around 9 AM and blows consistently until around 6 PM at a speed of over 25 knots. From November to February you will find much lighter winds, and from March to May you'll find them picking up again. The water is fairly typical for this area, giving either choppy surface or small waves up to about a metre high.

There is a public toilet here but that's all you get in terms of home comforts. Parking is just off the beach road, and you need to take a 5 to 10 minute walk to get to the shore. The town is very close by too, and it offers a good range of accommodation, nightlife and entertainment.

Safety

The only things to watch out for here are people on the beach and swimmers in the water. Apart from that, get out there in and enjoy it.
