The coastline of Nabq is the largest on the Gulf of Aqaba covering some 600 sq kms.The landscape is stunning and consists of high mountains, numerous valleys fringed by mangrove forests and corals reefs that can be easily reached from shore. The beach of Zouara is a family beach with its lovely white sands and warm shallow waters and its constant wind also makes it popular with wind and kitesurfers of all abilities. The season runs from May to October although off season is certainly possible.

Beach
-
The beach is large with lovely white sand which gets reasonably busy with holidaymakers. You can get here easily by taxi from Sharm el Shiekh.
-
Wind&Waves
-
It is windy here for about 90% of the time with the winds being predominantly northerlies. The winds are strongest during the summer months with the best directions being north, north east, north northeast, north west and north northwest. The winds are sideshore to slightly onshore. The water is shallow at the front of the beach which is good for beginners and there are waves about 1 mile upwards. There is also a deep spot in the lagoon which is great for practicing new stunts and tricks. It is warm all year round although the strong winds can make it feel cold in the winter and you will probably benefit from a wetsuit.
-
Facilities
-
There are plenty of facilities here including a surf school, together with a shop selling surfing gear as well as a rental and repair shop. There are toilet and shower facilities on the beach as well as a bar and a restaurant and a resident DJ. Accommodation is also readily available. There are also beanbags for chilling out on and foam parties take place weekly. In addition, you can take a catamaran trip out to the coral reefs. There is nightlife in Sharm el Shiek and plenty in Naama Bay which is about 20 minutes away.

Safety
-
This is a pretty safe spot but look out for holiday makers and swimmers in the sea. Also watch out for coral in the water. Should you get into difficulties there is a rescue boat on standby.
